the cube.

I bought this cat cube for Chloe at Target (gotta love clearance.) The picture on the box shows cute cats playing inside, and hiding inside the cube. My cat clearly missed the memo and chose to lay on top of the cube. (She still plays with the feather toy, but from the top of the cube, rather than inside it.)

Oliver and Sophie came over to play this afternoon. Oliver was pretty happy to be getting one-on-one attention from me and the husband. (Sophie wasn't on the porch when this was taken.)

Sure it's just shadows, but I love how my shadow is tall and thin. And I love how you can kind of see Oliver's ears perk up (he's on the left.)

I think today is the 100th day and 100th picture. (It is 100 if my post number is correct!) I really like this one, too. The tree in my back yard is blooming.

weeds or flowers?

The yard was mowed five days ago. Yet we have weeds all over the place. Even more disturbing is the shadow my camera created with the blade of grass in the center of the photo.

someone was jealous

My husband stumbled across my photo blog a couple of weeks ago and commented on the fact that I haven't taken any photos of him lately.

the floor is cooler

When I realized I hadn't taken a picture today (and it was after 10 p.m.) I went looking for the cat.



The temperature has been in the 80s this week, and we haven't turned the air conditioning on. It's supposed to get back to the 60s tomorrow (and lower) so we were holding out (because we're cheap.) Chloe has been spending a lot of time sleeping on the floor, rather than curled up on a chair, bed or blanket. She's so hot.

And let's just ignore the dust/dirt underneath that bed. I'll sweep this weekend.

I left my desk at lunchtime and went a different way around the Grove Arcade. This way gave way to a view of the Basilica. I really love my city.
