a little bit of fun

Someone had a good time last night.



(And, technically I cheated by using a photo I shot last night, but did you really want to see another picture of Chloe? She's the only one around right now and I did nothing fun today.)

donut eating contest

We went to a party tonight where a donut-eating contest was a part of the festivities. This is Carol, also the birthday girl (one of them.) She made it to the second round of the contest, but sadly lost.

(The goal was to eat the donut faster than the other person - there were four rounds. It started with glazed donuts and worked up to the eclair, a cream-filled pastry.)

sun poking through

I caught the sun poking through the fog and clouds this morning, as I sat at a stop light. I liked the power lines, so I didn't cut those out. And I'm sure the people coming to a stop thought I was crazy with my camera out my window. :)

nesting

We received this bird house for Christmas, and noticed a nest in it a few weeks ago. The baby birds have been chirping a lot this week, but this is about as close as I can get to it (with zoom) and see inside...the mother bird does not want us near, nor do we want to make her angry.


I also think the birdhouse is pretty, hence the photo. :)

white. fluffy.

This was a rare moment this week - when the sun was shining and we could see white, fluffy clouds (minus the gray and the rain we've seen a lot of.)


An hour later, the sky opened up and it poured.

Feed me.

Chloe waited for me while I made dinner tonight (she waits for me a lot in the kitchen - her treats are to the right - her left, in a drawer that you can't see in this picture.)
