My grandma (and other family members) are visiting, and my grandma insisted on raking.

bright colors in downtown Asheville

I've been admiring this tree for a couple of weeks, and wondering when it would change colors. I don't know where I can park (easily) and get a shot of it, so when I saw there was nobody behind me during my lunch break, I slowed down, grabbed my camera, and shot this photo out the passenger side window.

Taken from my living room window this morning. The leaves are falling quickly...

(And I know I'm a little obsessed with fall.)

laundry cat

Chloe's loving the clean clothes these days.
102310
Obviously, I'm not doing much this weekend. Two days in a row that I've had Chloe has my picture of the day...

Former President Bill Clinton came to Asheville

....and I obviously wasn't in a very close spot to the stage.

It was okay. It was still pretty cool.

candy corn

This is what is currently on my desk (in a jar, so it's not gross.)

My favorite Halloween candy. ever.

sharing the road with a unicyclist

I passed a guy on a unicycle at lunchtime today. I was at a red light, and realized it was the perfect opportunity to take a picture through my rear view mirror.

Sophie's pitiful look

This is Sophie looking sad. (She was looking at my husband who was on the couch.)
101710
Don't let her sad face fool you. She's had a pretty good weekend, sleeping on our bed, going on several walks, getting new bones to chew....

fall brightness

The changing leaves never get old - this is a (part of a) tree near my house.

a witch of a cat

I knew I could get use out of the cat costumes every year (I bought them on clearance last year.)

Chloe was not amused.

comfort

Chloe sought comfort from my husband this evening. She's been sick this weekend and wasn't a fan of the medicine I made her take today.

birthday dinner in New York

Thursday was my birthday, and I spent six hours in airports and/or on airplanes on my way to upstate New York.

I don't remember the last birthday I saw my New York family members, especially my grandmother. But here we are!

I brought home this fiber optic pumpkin from my mom's house yesterday.

My husband, surprisingly, loves it.

musical reflections

I spent part of the day at Mars Hill College for homecoming festivities, and thought it would be fun to shoot my reflection off of someone's tuba.
100210
It's not often that I make it into my own photos :) My husband is there too - and he told the tuba player what I was up to. It took some of the fun out of it.

sunlit tree

Same tree as yesterday, but with more sun (and not taken with my phone.)

I really, really love fall. Especially in Asheville.
