hard at work on cards
I finished 24 holiday cards today. They were completed with a "hand stamped" stamp on the back.
That was hard work.

long walk
We took a long walk to check out some new shops in our area (it's rare that we can walk to stores other than the liquor store.) This is one of the fields we walked by (and that I often run by.) Look closely for a horse...

sunrise over west Asheville
I caught this sunrise over west Asheville this morning. Looks like a sunset, but it really was 7 a.m. when I opened my curtains and was blown away by the colors. I had to capture it.

Elton John in Asheville
I saw Elton John tonight in Asheville. My first time seeing him in concert, and most likely my last (just because he has only been to this city twice.)
It was pretty amazing.

alpaca at the Studio Stroll
It's not every day I see alpacas and can feature them on my blog. Today I saw a few at the River Arts District Studio Stroll.
The studio stroll is held twice a year and people can meet the artists and buy their work during these weekends. (The artists generally have limited hours the public can enter the studios and make purchases.) It's very cool and we spent four hours down there - and didn't buy anything, but we may go back tomorrow.

dog walker
Sophie isn't a fan of running. Here she is, at the end of a walk when my brother tried to get her to jog to the house.

This fixture is on Haywood Road in Asheville and I've been wanting to get a photo of it for a while. Today was obviously my day!

I hosted a Stampin' Up party tonight, and this is what we made.
I can't wait to get my new stamps in!

silent auction goods
My husband and I attended a dinner this evening benefiting a friend's non-profit group. There was a silent auction, and while my husband didn't win the Highland Brewing package (it involved a tour of the brewery for 8 people - and beer), I was the only high bidder on this piece of pottery.
Major score for $30.

first snow
Today we had our first snow of the season.
It wasn't much, but then again, I'm not ready for a lot of snow.

please vote today
This van was spotted in downtown Asheville, honking and encouraging people to vote today.
I had already voted, but I thought it was cute. Much more encouraging than the ads on tv.

power of pink rose
This is one of the roses I came home with on Saturday, following the Power of Pink relay. A local florist donated them to the runners.
